Here we go! The official beginning of this amazing project, Canvas For A Change, Raising Awareness: Endangered Trees Exhibition. I am so excited to share my passion with you. Education and awareness are the best ways to protect the vulnerable.
There are still some details to hammer down and proposals to submit, but this baby is happening next year!!! The exhibition will include 8-10 paintings, which will take a considerable amount of time. The sizes will vary, but a larger 24″ x 48″ can take 20-40 hours to complete. I have always held a passion for trees and I feel so lucky to paint their likeness.
“Support Canvas For Change, Raising Awareness: Endangered Trees Exhibition! The exhibition will premier in 2021 and will include 8-10 originals by me, Contemporary Artist Jessica Brown. Each painting will include an endangered or ancient tree. Many people do not know these trees exist. The goal is to share the awe and wonder of these majestic trees in order to spread awareness about the importance of their protection. The exhibition will include informational plaques with history and facts about each tree. By supporting this initiative you are not only supporting the arts, but also an educational exhibition. I am using this platform to give a talk on the oldest and most endangered trees. The paintings will be turned into coloring book sheets for children. Each sheet will have a short informational on the tree. Through the years I have tried to find the best way to support the environment and I have realized that awareness and education are the most effective. There will be more details and dates unraveling in the future. “
